Schedule Expectations:
Monday – Friday from 10 am to 2 pm and 1 Saturday a year for Microchip Clinic
Compensation: $15.00-$17.00 per hour depending on skills and experience
Ogle County is seeking a Part-Time Animal Control Registration Officer to support daily workload and team members. Under the direction of the Animal Control Department Administrator the Part-time Registration Officer shall cover the lunchtime hour for the Registration Officer, be a backup to work in cases of sickness, appointments and vacations and perform the following duties as listed.
- Help fielding phone calls, post out-going mail, collect in-coming mail
- Help maintain rabies vaccination/registration database
- Help maintain hard-copy files of vaccination/registration certificates
- Help collect information, prepare and mail Animal Bite Reports to owners and victims and help maintain file of bite information and veterinarian inspection
- Process tag payments from dog and cat owners
- Over-the-counter tag sales
- Gather information regarding "Lost" and "Found" dogs and cats
- Help enter microchip data online and into department database
- Secretarial duties, as needed, for Warden and Dept. Administrator
- Help prepare boxes of microchips for veterinary clinics
- Check voicemail
- Assist Warden when requested
- Will be working with people & animals
